What constitutes a violent crime?

These crimes can result in up to 20 or 30 years behind bars, depending on various factors of the crime. Felony III crimes include:

  • Arson
  • Assault
  • Attempted second-degree murder
  • Attempted second-degree rape
  • Burglary in the first degree
  • Kidnapping a child under the age of 12
  • Robbery
